How Community Festival uses your Personal Data

The Community Festival ("ComFest") collects certain personal data from you so we can operate our event and coordinate with volunteers. We never share your data with outside parties (unless you ask us to or unless required to by law).

Specifically, we will use the personal data you provide to us in the following ways:

1. Your name will be used to track your shift request and to assign you to the roster for the volunteer shift(s) you choose, and to acknowledge you as a volunteer in next year's Program Guide.
2. Your birthdate is used to confirm that you are of legal age to volunteer for the shift(s) you choose.
3. Your email address will primarily be used to communicate important information about your approved shift(s), such as training information, weather cancelations, etc. Unless you choose to opt-out of additional emails, we will also email you about the fall Volunteer Appreciation party, our annual Membership Meeting in May, and we may email you to ask for help with other shifts and other ComFest-related activities.
4. If you choose to provide your cell phone number, it will be used only in an emergency, such as to notify you of a weather cancelation or for other life-safety situations.
5. We will retain the history of your volunteer activity for internal reporting purposes.
